World Interfaith
Harmony Week
The World
Interfaith Harmony Week was first proposed at the UN General Assembly by
H.M. King Abdullah II of Jordan.
On October 20, 2010, it was unanimously adopted by the UN and henceforth
the first week of February will be observed as a World Interfaith Harmony
Week.

Alliance of Civilizations aims to improve understanding and
cooperative relations among nations and peoples across cultures and
religions. The United Nations Alliance of Civilization was
established in 2005, at the initiative of the Governments of Spain and Turkey,
under the auspices of the United Nations.
